The Food we grow in our garden is much different than the foods we eat from the grocery store.
Some foods in the Grocery store can be Genetically Modified. The Modified food doesn’t come with a Nutrition label to tell you what it was modified with. So we are taking a health risk whether it could be good or bad. We are taking a Big health risk that is a benefit to us.
We can only wait.
•The Brief History of Agricultural Practices
Agricultural Practices are methods or situations that help create more food and product for people/consumers.
Agricultural practices started during the Stone Age. When the cavemen and women would plant, harvest crop, and find food in the wilderness. The Stone Age people had a hard time with getting their food from the wilderness, because of dangerous animals in the wild.
Overtime gardening and hunting got a little bit easier for people. When America first got started back in the 1700’s. The first people felt very controlled by England and wanted to work hard and grow their own food , on their own land, Risking whatever dangers maybe ahead.
What seemed like a small step to a new life, kicked off a future for agricultural practices in the new world .
Colonist in the new world had to make the best of what they brought from England. They also worked very hard to get used to the new environment and soil.
Some of their most popular harvests we’re cotton, corn, tobacco, and wheat. The Indians that were there welcomed the Colonist to the land and taught them farming techniques we still use today. This created our U.S holiday Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving represents the dinner the Pilgrims and Indians had when we harvested our first crop into the new world.
