What Are We Eating Blog #2

There are many companies that have helped the growth of agriculture In the past decade. 

Only we as people, can make a real difference to agriculture by taking care of our environment, recycling, and etc. 

One of the biggest companies of agriculture is a company called Adecoagro. Founded in 2002 , located in various areas overseas. The company mainly produces soy, rice, dairy, sugar, and ethyl alcohol. 

Sugar and Rice may tend to get overharvested sometimes but with the farm bill, the crops get put to a stock that feeds the homeless. On a serious note, without the farm bill these companies wouldn’t be crap. The farm bill is a bill that pays all the farmers to not grow to much crop .and to grow a certain amount of crop. The farm bill also pays for certain food on food stamps. Every 5 years the bill gets renewed and reformed. 

Another thing that helps agriculture is social media, both can go hand in hand in a way. Agriculture is a worldwide culture, well so is social media. Without social media you wouldn’t be able to read this blog.  

There are many pages that talk about and help agriculture through social media. One social media company is a company called Team Trees. With every donation a tree is planted. If there were more of these types of website but with food, the world wouldn’t go hungry.  

A couple weeks ago a video on Instagram was blowing up. A video talking about how our ocean corals are becoming extinct. It also mentioned how under water animals were being affected by this extinction by starving.   

This video hit millions of likes and views. The video was made by @coralgardeners. The video mentions if there is no coral there is no water, without no water there is no air.

Without these resources you do not have food or agriculture.
